Job Description
As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the critical liaison between business units and IT teams, fostering clear communication and alignment while transforming business needs into actionable technical specifications. Your role involves eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from stakeholders while conducting detailed analysis of current processes, workflows, and systems to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
You'll own the creation and maintenance of process maps, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures while continuously learning new business domains and technology stacks. Your responsibilities include creating and maintaining an API playbook that serves as a reference for both business and technical teams, collaborating with product owners and developers to design solutions, and partnering with QA teams to ensure functionality and usability.
The ideal candidate brings 5-8 years of business analysis experience, proficiency in SQL and RESTful APIs, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to drive consensus across stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders and documentation reviews.
- Conduct detailed analysis of current processes, workflows, and systems to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Document existing processes end-to-end and produce up-to-date process flows.
- Transform business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and use cases for IT delivery.
- Own the creation and maintenance of process maps, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures.
- Continuously learn new business domains and technology stacks to ensure documentation stays current.
- Proactively seek opportunities to learn and apply new tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Create and maintain an API playbook that serves as a reference for both business and technical teams.
- Collaborate with product owners, Scrum masters, developers, and other IT teams to design solutions that align with requirements.
- Validate proposed solutions through feasibility assessments and impact analysis.
- Partner with QA/QE to define and execute test plans, cases, and scripts verifying functionality and usability.
- Facilitate defect triage and drive timely resolution.
- Serve as the liaison between business units and IT teams, fostering clear communication and alignment.
- Build strong relationships with business partners, understand their priorities and advocate for high-value solutions.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive consensus across stakeholders and facilitate decision-making processes.
Required Experience/Skills
- Minimum 5 and maximum 8 years of experience in business analysis or related field.
- Proficient in SQL with ability to write queries and pull reports.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs (design, consumption, and documentation).
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear process flows, SOPs, and API reference guides.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at presenting complex information.
- Eager to learn, adapt quickly to new technologies, and take ownership of documentation quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive consensus across stakeholders.
- Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience with process-mapping tools (e.g., Miro).
- Good understanding of dental health insurance.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and collaborate across all levels of IT and business.
- Strong project leadership and organizational skills with experience delivering high-impact technical solutions.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Expertise in developing and delivering training or mentorship to team members.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience developing business cases, proposals, and presentations.
