Role : AWS Cloud Architect
Remote but Candidates must be local to ST Louis MO.
I will look at Candidates that will relocate to ST Louis and work Remotely.
Guessing it is a Remote Position but if something major happens the Candidate may have to stop into the Client
Duration : 6+ month/ Contract
Looking for strong AWS, terraform, Scripting (python/JavaScript), and Air gap. Communication is critical.
Cloud Architect (Core Infrastructure) (Non-Embedded)
Responsibilities:
Architecture Design: Designing and documenting core cloud infrastructure architectures, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Standards & Best Practices: Defining and maintaining cloud architecture standards, best practices, and patterns for the organization.
Governance & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to cloud architecture standards and compliance requirements. This includes vulnerability and compliance remediation strategy and coordination, not hands-on patching.
Cost Optimization (FinOps Collaboration): Collaborating with FinOps to ensure cost-effective cloud designs and implementations.
Technology Evaluation: Evaluating new cloud technologies and services and making recommendations for adoption.
Mentoring: Mentoring Cloud Engineers on architecture best practices and design principles.
Collaboration: Participating in CS scrum meetings, coordinating with the CS PM, and providing Tier 3 support.
Communication: Relaying important AWS notifications and industry news.
Change Management: Reviewing and approving change requests (CHG).
Account Management: Creating and deleting cloud accounts.
RGA-ism Awareness: (Clarify what this means and how it fits within the architecture role.)
Proficiency in one or more OS shell scripting languages and willingness to learn others: BASH, PowerShell.
Proficiency in one or more modern scripting languages and willingness to learn others: Python, NodeJS.
Knowledge of (or willingness to learn), how to write & use unit tests & integration tests for: Python, NodeJS.
Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) CI/CD with Jenkins.
This role to maintain one or more of the following certifications:
AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.
AWS Solutions Architect Professional
AWS Security Specialty
AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
CompTIA Linux+
Docker Certified Associate
