Job Title: Corporate Accountant
Duration: 9+ months contract
Location: Palo Alto, CA 94304 (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
Review working papers prepared by junior team members across commissions, payroll, leases,
accruals, and allocations.
Perform review of working papers to support month and quarter end closes well as support compliance
with SOX controls.
Coach and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on documentation standards and
accounting best practices.
Be responsible for end-to-uniprocessor assigned areas, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and
adherence to internal standards.
Assist in standardizing processes and documentation across accounting functions to improve efficiency
and consistency.
Supported hoc accounting project sand initiatives related to assigned business areas.
Collaborate with the broader accounting and finance teams to identify process improvements and
implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Active CPA certification required
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including review and coaching responsibilities.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.
Technical experience with ASC 842 Leasing and ASC 340-40 Commissions, debt, etc.
Experience participating in and running month/quarter end close.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively guide and support junior staff.
Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel as well as experience with Blackline and NetSuite.
Experience with Lease query (lease accounting) and Xactly (commissions accounting).
