BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Gameplay Software Engineer IV for a Onsite opportunity - Seattle WA.

Position Title: Gameplay Software Engineer IV

Location: [Seattle WA] - Onsite

Anticipated Start Date: [Apr 15^th, 2024]

Job Type: Contract - [FULL TIME (40 Hours a week)]

Pay Range: [$80/hr] - [$85/hr]

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Responsibilities:

Develop experiential SW prototypes for Labs Research projects.

Implement experience design specs.

Participate in the development of team toolsets and prototyping processes.

Clearly articulate prototyping decisions to a diverse set of internal stakeholders

Support Design and User Researchers with creating user study experiences.

Required Qualifications:

4+ years Game Development experience with Unity (C#), Unreal Engine or other 3D engines

Experience with AR/VR SDKs

Experience with novel inputs (e.g. hand tracking, eye tracking, computer vision)

Ability to solve ambiguous problems through rapid iteration.

Strong 3D Math skills

Portfolio featuring examples of interactive prototyping with AR/VR/MR headsets.

Desired Qualifications:

Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments.

2+ years' experience with VR Rendering and VR-compatible HLSL shader programming.

Experience with hardware prototyping (e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi)

Experience programming in Python or other scripting languages.

Experience with low-level coding of SW components to support experience prototyping.
