Process Automation Engineer

The Process Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions primarily using UiPath and QuickBase technologies. These solutions operate across both cloud and on-premises environments and span multiple business areas to address complex challenges. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders, the Process Automation Engineer ensures that all automation initiatives comply with enterprise technical standards. This role requires deep expertise in UiPath architecture, software development best practices, and well-architected frameworks, along with strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities:



  • Design, develop, and document process automations using multiple automation technologies, following a well-architected framework.


  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate process needs into technical automation solutions.


  • Maintain the automation environment, including robots and associated platform technologies.


  • Create and maintain documentation, including PDDs, SDDs, runbooks, and architectural diagrams.


  • Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).


  • Conduct automation code reviews to ensure technical standards and governance are met.


  • Work closely with enterprise architects and senior developers to align automation with overall architecture.


  • Stay current on technology trends to ensure automation solutions remain competitive and secure.


Experience:



  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.


  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing complex workflows in UiPath, including pre- and post-conditions, exception handling, and logging.


  • Experience integrating UiPath solutions with external systems using APIs, databases, and other technologies.


  • 3+ years working in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Windows 10/11, Office 365, and SharePoint.


  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, focusing on CI/CD pipelines and GIT repositories.


  • 2+ years of experience translating human processes into automated workflows.


  • Solid understanding of Agile methodology and 2+ years working in a Scrum team environment.


  • Good grasp of programming fundamentals and concepts.


  • Strong knowledge of low-code/no-code platforms, including QuickBase.
