Job Details
As a member of the SEIT department you ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum & Annapolis Junction, MD.
Qualified technicians will have experience with some of the following responsibilities:
Setup, test, calibrate and commission fully functional systems alongside a team dedicated to execution.
Review and implement engineering drawings to manufacture complex test systems.
Coordinate revisions with project design engineers.
Install complex RF assemblies, including making connections and routing large cable assemblies.
Working with engineers to troubleshoot hardware failures as needed
Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.
Devising and implementing methods and procedures for evaluating the accuracy of test stand installs based on provided drawings.
Use of basic hand tools and lifting equipment
Must have knowledge of electronic principles, the ability to wire and assemble circuits and understand the operation of basic test equipment.
Basic Qualifications for Integration Technician:
High school graduate or recognized equivalent
Must possess an Associate s Degree (minimum 60 semester hours) or two years (minimum 60 semester hours) of college level study with a major in Electronics or a minimum of six months military electronic school plus two years working experience in the maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical equipment.
A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively to team members both verbally and in writing.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic test systems.
Cabling and rack installation/electronic system integration experience.
Preferred Qualifications for Integration Technician
Experience with superconducting electronics test platforms.
Experience with cryogenic test environments.
Experience with microwave electronics.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
