Job Details
Avanciers are seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join our team in Danbury, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex field service operations, including installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of products and equipment. You will work independently with minimal supervision, often in dynamic field environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform field service tasks such as installation, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
Lead or assist in prototype builds, modifications, calibration, and equipment setup.
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
Conduct tests, record and analyze data, and prepare reports and recommendations.
Identify and recommend process or equipment improvements to enhance performance and customer service.
Guide and support junior technicians on proper and safe equipment operation.
Work on-site or at customer locations, occasionally on non-standard schedules, in varying environmental conditions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Associate s degree in engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1 5 years of relevant field service, electrical, or mechanical experience.
Hands-on skills in electrical soldering, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.
Strong understanding of engineering concepts, test equipment, and field service practices.
Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with leadership ability to mentor less experienced staff.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt standard practices to resolve semi-technical issues.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience with products or similar equipment.
Experience with non-destructive testing and prototype systems.
