Job Description:
An Enterprise Architect specializing in Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud within the pharmaceutical industry oversees the design, integration, and governance of large-scale CRM ecosystems supporting sales, service, and compliance-driven processes.
Role Summary:
The Salesforce Enterprise Architect guides digital transformation by aligning Salesforce cloud solutions to pharma business models, ensuring the architecture supports field force automation, HCP engagement, and regulated service operations. This role bridges business strategy, regulatory compliance, and cloud innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement enterprise-wide Salesforce architectures spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and related platforms such as Health Cloud or Veeva CRM.
Design scalable, secure, and high-performance CRM solutions adhering to industry standards (HIPAA, GxP, GDPR, PHI).
Develop architectural blueprints, data models, and integration strategies with ERP, MDM, and patient support systems.
Lead enterprise architecture governance and ensure alignment of Salesforce capabilities with pharmaceutical regulatory and commercial objectives.
Collaborate with product managers, sales leaders, and delivery teams to optimize business workflows and enhance customer and HCP experiences.
Evaluate AI, analytics, and Data Cloud capabilities (e.g., Einstein Analytics, Agentforce) to drive innovation and patient-centric outcomes.
Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years in enterprise architecture with at least 5 years leading Salesforce solution design in the life sciences sector.
In-depth expertise with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, with additional experience in Health Cloud or Veeva CRM.
Mastery of architectural frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and Salesforce EA methodologies.
Hands-on familiarity with integration protocols and technology stacks such as APIs, FHIR/HL7, MuleSoft, and data governance tools.
Salesforce certifications: Technical Architect (CTA), System Architect, or Application Architect required; TOGAF certification preferred.
Desired Competencies:
Demonstrated success in CRM transformations and digital enablement in a complex, compliance-heavy environment.
Strong business acumen, capable of translating pharma strategy into technical execution.
Leadership in multi-cloud and multi-platform Salesforce adoption, guiding cross-functional global teams.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior business and IT executives.
