Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Observability Engineer (Cloud) to join our team and establish enterprise-wide standards and designs for full-stack observability using Dynatrace. This role involves creating processes and coordinating with internal customers and the engineering, operations, and architectural community. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive computer education with cloud infrastructure experience and a solid understanding of observability practices from a software perspective. A strong grasp of both is essential for success.

You will design and implement processes for integrating observability solutions into cloud environments, collaborate with stakeholders, and optimize observability practices using your full-stack knowledge. Applying best practices in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), you will identify and mitigate performance and reliability risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Effective communication with end users, executives, program managers, and engineers is crucial. The role will encompass Observability Engineering functions, where you will help define processes and actively participate in establishing enterprise-wide observability design standards and onboarding analysis.

Your responsibilities include driving tasks related to enterprise-wide observability design standards and conducting Observability Engineering reviews. You will assist Platform and Product teams with proof of concepts and evaluations to solve observability challenges or enhance monitoring processes. Additionally, you will work with Business Product teams to understand their designs as they move to our new observability platform design or modify their applications. Collaboration with our cloud engineering, security, and compliance teams is essential to advise on the best design considerations. You will bring a wide range of observability skills (CI/CD and IaC experience), acting as both a knowledgeable software engineer and expert in cloud observability.
