Job Details

Position Title: Project Manager Project Lead
Location: Hybrid (3 days remote, 2 days onsite in South Carolina)
Candidate Eligibility: Must be a current SC resident (No relocation allowed)
Contract Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
Submission Deadline: July 29 at 5:00 PM EST
Interview Process: One virtual interview round
Vendor Limitation: Only 1 candidate submission per vendor


Project Overview:

The State of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Project Manager Project Lead to oversee the migration of critical applications from a legacy environment to a modern infrastructure. This is a strategic initiative requiring a seasoned professional who can coordinate technical teams, manage scope, and ensure timely project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for application migration and transformation efforts.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and risks while maintaining clear communication with leadership.

  • Monitor project scope and budget in alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to ensure consistent reporting and accountability.


Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in project management with a strong focus on technology projects.

  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.

  • Bachelor s degree in Communications, Business Administration, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, MIS, or a related field.

  • At least 1 year of experience working with financial applications, enterprise reporting, or transformation projects.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with state government procurement regulations and processes.

  • Understanding of state fiscal policies, procedures, and systems.


Additional Instructions:

  • Use of a sub-vendor is allowed only one level deep, and the Sub Vendor Usage Form must be submitted.

  • Withdrawn candidates cannot be replaced.
