About the Role:

CEIs Fortune 500 client is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the data migration from SAP HANA to Databricks. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and exceptional project management skills. The successful candidate will oversee the entire migration process, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.

 

  • 100% Remote Role
  • 12 month contract with potential for extension and permanent conversion

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Lead the end-to-end data migration program, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, data engineering, and business units, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support to the migration team, ensuring best practices and adherence to Adobe's data governance policies.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement robust testing and validation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy post-migration.
  • Reporting: Regularly update senior management on project status, milestones, and any issues or risks.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and consultants as needed to support the migration process.
  • Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of the new data platform by end-users.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in program/project management, with at least 5 years in data migration or data management projects.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of SAP HANA and Databricks, including data architecture, ETL processes, and data governance.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing large-scale data migration projects using methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the technology or software industry, particularly with large enterprises.
  • Tools: Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana.
