Duration: 3+ months contract with potential to extend for a longtime

Job Description:
This is a senior-level Oracle Database Administrator, who is responsible for overall oracle database administration tasks, upgrade Oracle 12c databases to 19c and migrate databases to RHEL from Solaris platform.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will be
Migrate databases from Solaris to Exadata - Oracle Enterprise Linux
Install, Configure Golden gate for data replication
Install, Configure RAC databases for high availability
Provide support on all the stages of database implementation and/or database related deployments
Upgrade databases from lower version to latest version
Participate in project meetings, as necessary, to understand application and database requirements
Ability to work independently and to resolve complex Oracle issues
Run diagnostic tools to identify database performance bottlenecks and take appropriate corrective actions to improve database performance. Work with development teams to tune SQL queries.
Proactive monitoring of the databases
Troubleshoot Oracle performance and non-performance related issues either independently or in conjunction with other DBAs
Manage backup/recovery for Oracle instances
Management of database and resource capacity planning.
Implement and enforce database security based upon best practice, SOX regulations, and company policies
Installation of new Oracle instances and upgrades
Provide after-hours support as required
Setting up and resolving issues with Oracle Data Guard environments
