job summary:

Our Development Manager leads a team of engineers (including Full Stack Engineers,


Senior Full Stack Engineers, and Team Leads) while continuing to contribute as a technical


leader and engineer. They hold a player/coach role, working on critical projects to ensure


business objectives are met while mentoring and guiding the engineering team.


Development Managers are technical and domain subject-matter experts across multiple layers


of our software ecosystem and provide architectural leadership, technical mentorship, and


hands-on coding when necessary. They help drive engineering best practices, ensuring that our


software is scalable, secure, and performant.


Responsibilities


? Lead and mentor a growing team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and


high-performance engineering culture.


? Continue hands-on development by designing and maintaining high-performance,


scalable, and secure applications.


? Guide architectural decisions for frontend and backend development, ensuring seamless


integration between systems.


? Develop and optimize microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and


PostgreSQL.


? Improve API design and integrations to enhance the scalability and maintainability of


our platform.


? Ensure security best practices are followed, including authentication, authorization, and


data protection strategies.


? Oversee Agile Scrum processes, leading sprint planning, daily standups, and


retrospective meetings.


? Drive technical excellence by providing code reviews, architectural feedback, and best


engineering practices.


? Maintain CI/CD pipelines, working with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments


and containerized infrastructure.


? Collaborate with stakeholders (Product, Design, Business) to translate requirements into


scalable solutions.


? Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to continuously improve system


performance and developer productivity.


? Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of web applications.


Qualifications


? 7+ years in software development, with experience leading engineering teams.


? Experience in nurturing and leading strong engineering teams


? Experience leading Agile Scrum teams and improving development velocity.


? Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentorship skills.


? Strong expertise in Java (8+), Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, JTA, and Maven.


? Strong expertise in Next.js, React, TypeScript, Redux, and SCSS for frontend


development.


? Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and PostgreSQL


relational databases.


? Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD workflows.


? Nice-to-Have: Experience with Azure, AWS, OpenShift, JBoss, Redis, Memcached, or


DataGrid.
