Job Details

Contract to hire opportunity for a .NET/C# Developer with 3 years development experience (this is not a senior level role). This is a back-end focused full stack .NET/C# development role.

Client requirements:

  • Local to Twin Cities Metro: onsite 3 days/week
  • Work authorizations status: /(no c2c)

What you'll do:

  • Planning and execution:
    • Participate in the conceptual design development, ensuring that the solution is viable and designed appropriately to solve the business case
    • Provide support for the facilitation and review of estimates, development and deployment plans for all capabilities participating in the release in both Agile / Scrum
  • Project process support:
    • Assist more Senior Developers in providing/coordinating estimates for the development components required for the solution and overseeing design efforts across capabilities/systems
    • Provide support to Project Managers to ensure design / build activities remain within project schedule / budget
    • Facilitate escalation and resolution of technical issues during the development of the solutions
    • Responsible for supporting vendor work, delivery review and acceptance
    • Ability to work effectively between multiple projects
  • Communication:
    • Responsible for assessing and communicating status of development activities based on summaries from System Analysts, Developers, and other solution participants
    • Support the maintenance and progression of development standards and currency of solution frameworks
    • Communicate the scope of work during your development projects
    • The ability to present quarterly findings to leadership and stakeholders
  • Design, document, code and conduct unit tests and de-bugging of software solutions and components
    • Apply enterprise standards, application patterns and development best practices in solutions development/delivery
    • Generally works with direction and guidance at designing and implementing timely, quality solutions
    • An ability to innovate within project scope
  • Provide inputs in establishment of development standards and process. In partnership with technical experts, evaluate new solutions/tools/methodologies and provide feedback
  • Own and ensure maintenance of technical solution diagrams and models
    • Present solution alternatives as needed to operational leaders within IT and assigned business units
  • Decompose complex problems into manageable work items for delivery of others
    • Provide technical guidance and solutions regarding coding and design
    • Resource on topics within scope of current role and knowledge base for development team members (FTE and vendors)
  • Assess and recommend IT capability improvements for applications, including:
    • Implementing, logging and monitoring at appropriate levels and driving upgrades to currently supported software.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of .NET/C# development
  • Proven capabilities such as C# development, Python, Excel, SQL querying, Git, API, Oracle DB, Visual Basic, extensive debugging

Nice to have experience: Mongo DB, Oracle DB, Blazor, Java, Python, Jira (as well as other Agile experience) and working knowledge of the corporate environment.
