Experience in food manufacturing or food distribution, with an understanding of data, shelf life, and expiration management

actively seeking a hands-on Infor M3 Implementation Consultant for a contract engagement with a complex U.S.-based food manufacturing and distribution client. With operations across 15 warehouse and plant locations in the U.S., and a growing presence in Canada and Mexico, this client is midway through a major ERP transformation migrating from Legacy BPCS/LX and SAP systems over to Infor M3.

The project has already seen successful deployments in Portland, Maine and Topeka, Kansas, with the goal of completing all migrations including subsidiaries and international sites by Q2 2026.

This role is pivotal to the next phase of the rollout. The right candidate will have deep Infor M3 implementation experience in the food industry, and be ready to jump into a high-visibility, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment.

Day to Day:

  • Lead end-to-end ERP migration efforts from Legacy LX Systems to Infor M3 across U.S., Canadian, and Mexican locations.
  • Drive the Infor M3 deployment ensuring alignment with broader ERP strategy and data integrity.
  • Manage full project lifecycle activities: planning, execution, resource alignment, testing, and go-live as well as contributing to configurations, and fit &feel of the system.
  • Coordinate EDI integration with internal systems and external trading partners this is the most immediate need.
  • Guide cross-functional teams (IT, ops, finance, supply chain) through Order-to-Cash (OTC) process optimization within M3.
  • Ensure all solutions support food-specific requirements including expiration date tracking and product traceability.
  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, Infor consultants, and third-party vendors.
  • Track risks, report milestones, and drive resolution across a complex matrix of stakeholders and business units.

MUSTS:

  • Hands-on Infor M3 implementation experience, including migrations from Legacy LX and/or SAP.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or food distribution, with an understanding of data, shelf life, and expiration management. More complex distribution process experience like cold storage welcomed.
  • Deep knowledge of EDI, especially as it relates to ERP integration and supply chain workflows. Client is using Orderful EDI, but experience on other platforms will work.
  • Strong knowledge of Order-to-Cash (OTC) process flows in ERP environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills.

PLUS:

  • Demonstrated success leading multi-site ERP rollouts in distributed, high-complexity organizations.
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Experience with Infor ION, Mongoose, or M3 CloudSuite
  • Familiarity with U.S. regulatory standards for food production (FDA, USDA, etc.)
  • Exposure to international ERP rollouts (e.g., Canada/Mexico)
