We are looking for a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team and help manage and optimize our network infrastructure in a high-availability, 24/7 environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our network, which supports significant voice traffic and critical real-time applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in EVPN, SDWAN, Firewalls, AWS Cloud Network, and LAN/WAN management.
This is an on-site position, offering you the chance to collaborate closely with our team and have immediate access to our infrastructure. You will play a key role in supporting and optimizing our network performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage EVPN and SDWAN solutions to enhance network performance and reliability.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain firewalls to secure the network and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Develop and manage AWS Cloud Network environments, integrating them smoothly with our on-premises infrastructure.
- Oversee LAN/WAN management, troubleshooting and optimizing network connectivity and performance.
- Use Network Management and Instrumentation (NMI) tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, gNMI) to monitor network performance, visualize data, and set up performance alerts.
- Manage VoIP applications by troubleshooting and ensuring quality and low-latency performance for voice traffic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for accurate and organized record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- At least 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on EVPN, SDWAN, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Network services and integrations.
- Proficient in LAN/WAN management, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Experience using NMI tools, including Grafana, Prometheus, and gNMI.
- Proven ability to manage and support real-time VoIP applications, ensuring network reliability and performance.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP Certification is a plus.
