Description
We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join a dynamic team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing the IT infrastructure of a leading plastics manufacturing company. Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain server, network, and system performance to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
Conduct regular updates, backups, and patches to protect data integrity and system availability.
Configure, implement, and troubleshoot hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs.
Provide technical support for users, resolving issues related to operating systems, networks, and applications.
Administer and monitor network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Collaborate with the IT team to introduce new technologies and enhance existing systems.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting protocols.
Deliver on-call support for critical outages, including remote assistance and on-site interventions as required.
Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring proper system access and security compliance.
Train end-users on IT systems and applications while promoting security awareness and best practices.
Requirements
Strong experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and Windows 10/11 systems.
Proficiency in network and system administration, including Office 365.
Familiarity with backup solutions, disaster recovery protocols, and security best practices.
Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, MCSA, or Cisco CCNA are highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent documentation skills for IT processes and system maintenance.
Strong communication skills to provide user support and collaborate with team members.
