Test Engineering Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support repair technicians with troubleshooting hardware and software issues to reduce downtime.
• Escalate complex technical problems to engineering when needed.
• Help develop and run test plans, analyze results, and identify root causes.
• Review failure reports and recommend ways to improve product quality and reliability.
• Train technicians on testing, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
• Assist with testing for new product introductions and set up test lines.
• Maintain and support test equipment and ensure spare parts are stocked.
• Work independently to make sound technical decisions and improve processes.
• Act as a point of contact for equipment maintenance questions.
• Recognize and escalate problems when necessary.
• Provide hands-on support for all test and diagnostic processes.
• Follow all company policies, including safety and housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of testing experience in electronics, preferably with computer systems.
• Knowledge of server hardware and software.
• Strong understanding of hardware product testing processes.
• Effective communication with Engineering and Quality teams.
• Associate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Linux and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong understanding of testing methods, test plan development, and root cause analysis.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and work with equipment in racks.
• Willing to use a scissor lift as needed.
