Job Details

Title: Electrical & Mechanical Systems Specialist
Duration: FTE
Travel: Could be up to 50% at times
Salary: 75-85k

Role Overview

Join our growing team as we expand across the US! You'll be the technical expert ensuring our collaborative mobile robots deliver maximum uptime and performance at customer manufacturing facilities. This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with our cutting-edge mobile robots while building strong customer relationships.

Location: Detroit, MI

Travel: 50-60%

Responsibilities:

  • Service & Repair: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on our robots and solutions at customer sites
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance, system calibrations, and software updates
  • Technical Support: Respond to service calls, troubleshoot navigation and material handling issues
  • Documentation: Complete detailed service reports, track parts inventory, and maintain system performance data
  • Problem Solving: Work with sensors, motors, control systems, and fleet management software

What We're Looking For

Must Have

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in industrial equipment service, automation, or manufacturing environments
  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities with motors, sensors, PLCs, and control systems
  • Hands-On Expertise: Experience replacing components, repairing mechanical & Electrical assemblies, troubleshooting electrical circuits, and performing system diagnostics
  • Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor for a customer-facing role
  • Travel Ready: Valid driver's license, ability to travel extensively across the US
  • Independence: Self-motivated problem solver who can work autonomously in the field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with mobile robots, AGVs, AMRs, or industrial automation systems
  • Background in manufacturing, automotive, or material handling environments
  • Trade certification, associate degree, or military technical training
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations or assembly line processes
  • Basic understanding of fleet management software or robotics platforms
