Role: Lead .Net Developer (Hybrid)

Job Description
Under broad supervision, this role supervises, guides, and instructs the day-to-day operations of an in-house application development team. Under limited supervision, the selected candidate will ensure enterprise applications operate effectively and efficiently. This position is responsible for supervising, guiding, and instructing staff, ensuring stated service levels and efficiency goals are met.
The role serves as a high-level subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance to professional staff and supporting the full software development life cycle, with an emphasis on task prioritization and operational excellence.
This position manages a team of 8 10 software engineers responsible for developing new applications and enhancing existing applications.

- This is a long-term contract role subject to annual budget approval, with potential renewals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of IT consultants and staff by providing guidance, support, and training.
- Monitor and analyze team performance to ensure coding standards and deliverables meet quality expectations.
- Develop and implement best practices to ensure enterprise applications are supportable and maintainable.
- Collaborate with architects to ensure proper implementation of software designs.
- Evaluate and recommend software solutions to improve application quality.
- Partner with project managers throughout the full project life cycle.
- Coordinate and troubleshoot technical issues, guiding the team in resolving complex problems.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring qualified candidates.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop staff to achieve high levels of competency.
- Handle highly technical issues as needed.
- Monitor staff performance, schedules, and workload to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Stay current with internal procedures and external requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical certifications preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in an IT management, technical lead, or project management role.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supervising or leading a support or development team.
- Experience with custom application development or customization of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products.
- Hands-on experience developing applications using:
- .NET technologies
- C#, Web API, REST API
- JSON, XML
- SQL Server, Oracle
- HTML5, AngularJS
- Kendo UI / Telerik
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience using application lifecycle and project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps / TFS) in Agile (Scrum) environments.
- Strong initiative, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent planning, training, and follow-up abilities.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
Work Terms and Conditions
- Standard 8-hour workdays, Monday Friday (40 hours/week).
- Fixed schedule starting between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM (ET).
- Hybrid work environment; candidates should be able to work both remotely and onsite as needed.
- Consultant must comply with all applicable organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Contract duration aligns with the fiscal year, with potential annual renewals.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable remote work environment required.
- Authorized business travel expenses will be reimbursed per policy.
- Observance of organizational holidays; extended leave during the first year is restricted.
- Consultant must maintain a business-use cell phone.
- Routine commuting and parking expenses are the responsibility of the consultant.
