Role: MOMS Technical Writer

Location: Frisco TX (100% Remote, But will have to go to office as needed in the future)

Duration: 12 Months 

Job Purpose: 

The Manufacturing Operations Management System (MOMS) Tech Writer will interface heavily with Production Engineering, Production, Production Support, Production Quality, and other internal customers in the Global Manufacturing organization to assist and develop the documentation of processes in support of business process reengineering efforts by the MOMS Core Team. The MOMS Tech Writer will also be responsible for creation and updating of business documents in an Electronic Document Management System (eDMS). This person must be organized and able to translate technical terms into text that any reader can understand. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Function as the Technical Writer in the MOMS area by partnering with business process program managers and business process owners to align business processes with selected MOMS platform solution.
• Responsible for creating busines process level maps to be integrated with Value Chain in Abacus application. • Create and manage business documents in the Electronic Document Management System (eDMS) and own the approval process for timely release of Production-owned documents.
• Proactively identify opportunities to standardize/improve processes that not only supports the customer focused approach but ensures compliance to the business management goals and objectives.
• Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality.
• Participate in MOMS-related workshop sessions to develop, prototype, test and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability, and functionality to enable business unit roadmap objectives.
• Collaborate with MOMS team and other SMEs to ensure end to end process integration and consistency.
• Support and assist MOMS Program Managers to process design specifications and evaluate enhancements.
• Gather feedback and work to implement into business processes.

Required Qualification:

• 5+ Years of Technical Writing experience
• Expertise with ISO 9001 QMS documentation requirements
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Operations Management System (MOMS)
• Working knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing processes
• Experienced with data management, data flows and downstream reuse of master data
• Demonstrates strong knowledge and application of business process modeling and methodologies
• Expert in Microsoft Applications - Visio, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint, Word
• Experience with Abacus application for process mapping
• Proven ability to translate business requirements, processes, and designs into well documented process documents
• Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills including the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
• A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate clearly, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Be willing to travel as per the project demand (up to 30%)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to Model Based Definition, Model Based Enterprise, and Digital Twin
• Knowledge of discrete/repetitive manufacturing
• MOMS implementation experience to multiple plants
• Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC
