Senior IT Project Manager

I have a long term contract opportunity in Midtown Manhattan for an IT Project Manager to join a newly created team within one of our top tier investment banks.

This role will be 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Responsibilities:

• Work within the PMO to run multiple projects across the organization.
• Help establish project governance standards and ensuring adherence to project management methodology and best practices for executing projects across the business.
• Responsible for prioritization and planning processes that enable the firm to identify and apply resources to the highest value work. Partner with key stakeholders and IT to effectively scope projects and budget projects.
• Establish a master project plan across business and Management and Operations groups, coordinate and track tasks accordingly. Help deliver projects on time and within budgetary guidelines.
• Develop KPIs that can be used to measure program performance throughout the full product development lifecycle. Develop reporting for project stakeholders and senior management and deliver executive level presentations and reports.
• Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating project risk, along with maintaining strong communication channels with Senior Management to raise awareness agree action plan for mitigation.
• Support Business teams in the strategic planning and development of the Technology roadmap aligned to the business' goal and objectives.

Experience:

• Solid experience in managing a portfolio of different type of complex projects.
• Strong leadership and project management skills. Candidates should have experience leading projects and driving the project to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to develop constructive relationships with stakeholders, executives, and project teams effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to align project management strategies with the organization's overall strategic goals and objectives.
• Relevant project management certifications preferred but not required.
