Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Jira Administrator with strong infrastructure and data management expertise to support and enhance our enterprise-level Atlassian environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, customization, and optimization of Jira, Confluence, and related Atlassian tools, ensuring seamless integration with infrastructure systems and data pipelines.
This role is a blend of system administration, automation, and data analysis, requiring a strong technical foundation and a strategic mindset for scaling Jira across multiple teams and business functions.

Key Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and optimize Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence environments across enterprise deployments.
Design, implement, and manage infrastructure integrations between Jira and other enterprise systems (CI/CD tools, data warehouses, identity management systems, etc.).
Develop and maintain automations, scripts, and workflows using tools such as Script Runner, Automation for Jira, or REST APIs.
Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and data engineering teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of Jira and Confluence instances.
Create and manage custom dashboards, reports, and analytics for project tracking, KPIs, and capacity planning.
Manage user access, permissions, and project configurations while enforcing governance and best practices across teams.
Support data migration, cleanup, and integration activities between Jira and other platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce, GitHub).
Troubleshoot performance issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
Stay up to date with Atlassian product updates, plugins, and marketplace integrations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
6+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator (enterprise-level preferred).
Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and related Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Advanced Roadmaps, etc.).
Hands-on experience with infrastructure administration (Linux/Windows servers, cloud hosting AWS or Azure).
Expertise in data management, including data extraction, analysis, and reporting from Jira using SQL, Python, or BI tools.
Proficiency in Jira REST APIs, Groovy scripting, and automation frameworks.
Familiarity with SSO, LDAP, and user directory integrations.
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and Agile methodologies.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes for Atlassian deployment.
Knowledge of Atlassian Data Center and performance optimization.
Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipelines for integrating Jira data with analytics platforms.
Atlassian certifications (ACP-120, ACP-620, or equivalent).
