Job Description:

RelantoAI is seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer with a strong foundation in Java development and recent hands-on experience in AI tools and technologies, including GitHub Copilot. This is a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA, and we're specifically looking for candidates already located in the Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance software development workflows and business processes.
• Leverage tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and other LLM-based technologies to optimize coding productivity and solution architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, backend developers, and product managers to integrate AI components into enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain scalable APIs and backend services using Java and modern frameworks.
• Stay current with AI trends, tools, and best practices, bringing innovative ideas to internal teams.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Java development, including building APIs, services, and backend systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience, with practical usage of GitHub Copilot and similar tools in real-world development.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of generative AI concepts, LLMs (Large Language Models), and prompt engineering.
• Strong GitHub portfolio demonstrating AI-related projects or automation enhancements.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python or other scripting languages used in AI/ML workflows.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) with AI/ML services.
• Prior experience in a hybrid/onsite client-facing role.
