Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for an Associate Director, Market Access Insights & Analytics to be based in Horsham, PA.

The Associate Director in Customer Strategy and Ops (CS&O) will be a trusted advisor to Market Access Pricing and marketing team in the Strategic Customer Group (SCG).

This position will serve to lead insight generation and to be an internal consultant for MA insights across launches including use of primary market research, analytics tools, syndicated and secondary resources while informing new capabilities to drive enhanced launch, bid and contract decision making. The role will be to actively monitor payer, IDN, policy, competitor and market conditions to inform critical decisions and shape future access strategies.
Duties:
  • Generate insights to advise US market access readiness launches including evaluating in-market analogs, launch pricing, payer/PBM utilization management, HCP/hospital economics (e.g. white, brown bagging, buy-bill, etc.), value based agreements and other related landscape activities.
  • Inform brand Launch Readiness Reviews (LRR) including conducting customer market research -- payer landscape, pricing, contracting strategies; leverage syndicated and desk research to inform critical customer, competitor trends
  • Support scenario planning for pricing teams; establish approaches to assess launch price/WAC, LPA & contracting insights and tradeoffs
  • Inform volume and share projections for customer bids (commercial and gov't), pre and post contract evaluation in concert with pricing/finance.
  • Conducting analog assessments, volume, access, geographic considerations, utilization management trends, customer and competitor intelligence gathering.
  • Shape the integration of data and analytics to inform launch brand access challenges, policy impacts and related work. Identify optimal analytics approaches.
  • Working with critical supplier partners. Manage resources, timing, and overall project goals efficiently.
  • Serve as an advocate in integrating access insights sourced across J&J IM teams - SCG, Brand and CS&O; develop strong partnerships with brand, insights/analytics teams in support of common brand access goals.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success as a strategic advisor to business leaders as well as shaping and influencing without authority
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity; strong learning agility and demonstrated success solving ambiguous business issues
  • Ability to package existing disparate data and takeaways to develop new insights (market research, syndicated/secondary, analytics data)
  • Experience working with Rx, patient claims, pricing (WAC) and managed markets data sources (e.g. IQVIA, SHS, MMIT, Komodo, Clarivate, IPD Analytics, Analysource, SSR, and related)
  • Previous work with external vendors to conduct payer market research
  • Storytelling, data visualization and developing effective presentations
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Tableau
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with medical benefit mgmt. therapies and related disease areas
  • Proven success in people management; leading and developing others
  • In-depth knowledge of market access dynamics (e.g. payers, IDNs, specialty pharmacy, patient access, trade distribution)
  • Prior experience working in managed markets or with a health insurer or health system a plus
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (test/control, model selection and hypothesis testing, statistical inference, promotional response modeling etc.)

This position is based in Horsham, PA with flexibility for 2 days remote based work. May require up to 10% domestic travel.
