RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA in Chandler, AZ.

Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to maintain and support its legacy Oracle database systems during a planned transition to newer technologies. This role is critical to ensuring the continued stability, security, and performance of production Oracle environments while assisting with documentation, knowledge transfer, and system migration efforts. The position is term-limited, intended to support Oracle operations until the platform is fully decommissioned.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle production databases to ensure high availability, performance, and security
* Perform regular maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, updates, and system health checks
* Respond to and resolve incidents, service requests, and performance issues related to the Oracle database systems
* Collaborate with application teams and system architects to facilitate data migration, integration, and system decommissioning
* Ensure proper documentation of database configurations, procedures, and operational workflows for handoff to future systems or teams
* Implement and enforce database security best practices and compliance with applicable regulatory standards (e.g., CJIS, HIPAA)
* Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning as it pertains to legacy Oracle systems
* Provide guidance and technical support related to Oracle system sunset planning and archival strategies

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
* Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Production Oracle DBA in enterprise or government environments
* Strong experience with database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security hardening
* Proficient in Oracle 12c/19c, RMAN, Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and PL/SQL
* Demonstrated ability to maintain and support stable production environments
* Primarily hybrid work environment, dependent on operational needs
* May be required to work outside of normal business hours for system maintenance or urgent issues

Preferred:
* Experience with legacy system sunset or data migration projects
* Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure and cloud migration concepts (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure)
* Knowledge of government data systems, ERP platforms, or GIS integrations
* Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
