Overview
DecisionPoint seeks DevSecOps CI/CD Engineers to support the API Platform by maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, integrating security testing tools, and enabling reliable cloud-based delivery for enterprise APIs. These engineers will ensure that API code moves efficiently and securely through build, test, and deployment stages supporting a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment.
The DevSecOps CI/CD Engineers collaborate closely with API developers, cloud architects, cybersecurity teams, and integration engineers to enforce secure DevSecOps practices, maintain pipeline health, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of API services.
These positions are fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities
The DevSecOps CI/CD Engineer (API Platform) will:
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for API development, integration, and deployment.
- Configure automated builds, tests, and release processes across development environments.
- Integrate SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and other security testing tools into pipelines.
- Automate deployments to cloud-based hosting environments, ensuring secure and reliable delivery.
- Work with developers to resolve pipeline failures, build errors, and deployment blockers.
- Manage version control workflows, branching strategies, and code promotion paths.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers on infrastructure-as-code, environment readiness, and security baselines.
- Support automated rollback, blue-green deployment, and canary release strategies.
- Maintain pipeline documentation, build scripts, and configuration specifications.
- Monitor CI/CD performance, identifying opportunities to improve speed, reliability, and automation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide pipeline readiness support for sprint releases.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, IT Engineering, or a related field.
Experience (Required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD engineering, or pipeline automation.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for APIs or microservices.
- Experience integrating automated security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA).
- Experience managing automated deployments to cloud environments.
- Experience troubleshooting pipeline failures and build issues.
Technical Knowledge (Required)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with SAST/DAST tools and security automation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and cloud automation.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, versioning patterns, and code promotion across environments.
- Understanding of DoD secure engineering requirements and hardening practices.
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)
- Experience supporting APIs, microservices, and integration architectures.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud CI/CD patterns.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Certifications
Required:
- CompTIA Security+
Preferred:
- AWS cloud certifications
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- DevSecOps or CI/CD automation certifications
