JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain accurate customer/brand/SKU-level demand forecasts.
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, and seasonal patterns to improve forecast accuracy.
- Present forecast insights and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Generate and interpret reports using statistical methods and demand planning tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other internal teams.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like fill rates and forecast error.
- Run weekly reports to track order status, fill rates, and backorders.
- Communicate supply recovery plans to Sales, Customer Service, and Leadership.
- Manage internal/external inventory flow to maximize order fulfillment.
- Develop PowerPoint decks, Excel recaps, and email narratives for executive presentation.
- Lead and facilitate forecast meetings with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Balance supply requests against financial plans and production capacity.
- Co-manage and support the training and development of one indirect report.
- Assist in planning and conducting training workshops for new and current demand planners.
- Drive continuous improvement of planning tools, reports, and forecasting processes.
- Understand and apply replenishment vs. New Product Introduction (NPI) strategies.
- Develop end-to-end knowledge of the supply chain to support business decisions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in demand planning or similar roles.
- Strong analytical and mathematical mindset with ability to translate data into insights.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF statements).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in ERP/legacy systems and handling multi-source data.
- Skilled in planning software and statistical forecasting tools.
- Strong communication and influencing skills in a cross-functional environment.
- Proven experience leading meetings and presenting to stakeholders.
- Agile, detail-oriented, and able to make informed decisions in fast-paced settings.
- Understanding of fashion industry sales cycles and order practices.
- Committed to continuous learning and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fashion and accessories industries.
- Prior experience in training and developing others.
- Familiarity with Order Management processes and cycles.
- Experience with SAP AFS1 and SAP Business Objects.
- Knowledge of DPM Planning.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
- Exposure to automation tools like Power Automate.
- Programming knowledge in Python, Visual Basic, or DAX.
