As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platform (IP) Network Services organization, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.

The role involves designing, engineering and automation of network security products with focus in Proxy-based Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solution. Cross-team co-ordination and collaboration with stakeholders, implementation and support teams to ensure end to end product engineering, delivery and support. Responsibilities related to automation, certifications, creating Engineering standards and working with operational/support teams on new solutions, features and tools.

Job responsibilities
- Research, design and engineer network security products with focus in Proxy-based Secure Web Gateway(SWG) solution
- Develop on-prem and SaaS based perimeter network security and connectivity solutions
- Design solutions and introduce new feature requirements for clients
- Develop and maintain scripts for device pave/repave and automatize day to day tasks
- Develop engineering standards and artifacts for certified products
- Perform Hardware and software certifications
- Act as the escalation point for Network Operations and Service Delivery teams
- Coordinate and collaborate cross-team with stakeholders
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on network security design concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- 5+ years of experience in designing and engineering proxy-based Secure Web Gateway(SWG) within a large enterprise environment
- 5+ years of experience in designing and engineering a suite of Broadcom products including Proxy SG, Secure Web Gateway (ISG), Symantec Content Analysis Systems (CAS), SSL Visibility appliances and Symantec Management Center (SMC)
- Experience with other SWG and SSE vendors: Palo Alto, Zscaler, Netskope
- Experience in TLS1.3 adoption and expose to PQC (Post Quantum cryptography)
- Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming/scripting/devops languages: Python, Ansible, Terraform, JSON
- Experience with microservices, CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, APIs
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with internet and cloud DMZ architecture and load balancing
- Experience with stateful and application layer firewall technologies is a plus
- Experience with web hosting, webservers, and web applications
- Experience working with Agile methodologies like Kanban & Scrum
- Self-Starter who can take initiative and has the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to collaborate with different roles and different levels across different teams to achieve common goals
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills in a large enterprise environment
