ServiceNow Product Owner ITOM Discovery

We have a 12 month contract opportunity for a ServiceNow Product Owner - ITOM Discovery. This role is fully remote but must work CST business hours.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) Discovery product. This role bridges business needs and technical delivery, ensuring the ServiceNow Discovery module is optimized to accurately identify and map IT assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

- Own and drive the product vision for ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, aligning with business goals and IT strategy

- Gather and translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria

- Prioritize and manage the product backlog to ensure timely and high-impact delivery

- Configure, manage, and optimize the ServiceNow Discovery module to support accurate asset discovery and CMDB integrity

- Guide stakeholders through process design to ensure data quality, accuracy, and platform reliability

- Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support strategic decisions

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data sharing across systems

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

- Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

- Deep expertise in ServiceNow ITOM Discovery (horizontal and vertical) and Discovery optimization

- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform from both business and technical perspectives

- Familiarity with programming languages and tools such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.

- Basic knowledge of design techniques and modeling principles

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

- Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

- Deep expertise in ServiceNow ITOM Discovery (horizontal and vertical) and Discovery optimization

- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform from both business and technical perspectives

- Familiarity with programming languages and tools such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.

- Basic knowledge of design techniques and modeling principles
