Job Details

Primary Responsibility:

Environment Assessment and Administration

  • Provide ongoing assessment of the Client s SharePoint Online environment and recommend improvements based on Microsoft best practices.
  • Administer and manage the SharePoint environment, ensuring stability, security, and scalability.

Design and Standardization

  • Develop and manage a standard layout for existing and new SharePoint sites to maintain design uniformity.
  • Implement SharePoint branding aligned with Microsoft best practices.

Governance and Policy Development

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive SharePoint governance and usage policy covering:
    • SharePoint usage and available features
    • Definitions of user roles and responsibilities
    • Content management procedures
    • Development of custom components (e.g., workflows, surveys, pages)
    • Approval workflows and processes
    • Identification and resolution of platform-related issues

Capacity Planning and Migration

  • Plan for future capacity and growth needs, including migration strategies for SharePoint 2019 and continued SharePoint Online utilization.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to consolidate or migrate administrative applications onto the SharePoint platform.

Collaboration and Site Development

  • Work with the client s program areas to identify SharePoint needs and develop corresponding sites
  • Establish standards and repeatable processes for new SharePoint site implementations.

Development and Customization

  • Build reporting dashboards using JavaScript frameworks
  • Develop provider-hosted and SharePoint-hosted apps using Power Apps

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer

  • Create and maintain environment documentation, architecture mapping, and best practices guides
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to designated client staff to support ongoing SharePoint management

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Certification

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or equivalent work experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of IT work experience in system analysis, development, and engineering in an online environment
  • Minimum of five (5) years of IT work experience with server infrastructure and SharePoint 2016/SharePoint Online support, including:
    • Microsoft server administration for SharePoint Online
    • High Availability architecture
    • Developing, configuring, and maintaining document libraries, enterprise lists, site collections, and search optimization
    • Managing SharePoint end user accounts, permissions, and access rights following privacy and security best practices
    • Monitoring production systems, maintaining inventory, and analyzing system logs
    • Establishing performance baselines and creating performance statistics reports
    • Tuning and optimizing SharePoint infrastructure performance
    • Troubleshooting across application, code, network, and database layers
    • Managing application, database, and server backup and recovery
    • Applying security best practices in infrastructure design and maintenance

Technical Support and Customer Service

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting and maintaining new and existing server and database infrastructure services
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing customer service for technically complex, client-reported issues

Leadership and Project Management

  • Leadership experience managing and completing complex projects related to SharePoint infrastructure services
  • Experience as a team member supporting the management and execution of complex SharePoint infrastructure projects

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
