Job Title: IBM Mainframe Consultant
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 3 Years Contract
Description:
Mainframe Security Key Activities: | |
Reset password | |
Resume ID's that are revoked (locked out) | |
Change or set temporary passwords (this is required for SOX non-human ID password changes) | |
Permit access to datasets(files) | |
Connect users to groups (the groups provide access) | |
Identify Guardians and connect remove new old ones to the groups that they own | |
Process BASIC access to RACF resources (these can control access to many types of products infrastructure. Typically spelled out in request) | |
Research CICS transactions and their associated groups (to then provide, remove access or identify Guardians) | |
Create Started Task users and associated resources for new products | |
Permit Access to more complicated classes (that require additional configuration for the access to function) | |
Research Incident access root causes and provide access required | |
Engineer, from scratch, new product access and align it with Guardian or Role Based groups in Dev and Production | |
Identify and remediate any identified security issue | |
Grant access to DB2 tables/plans/stored procedures and understand how they interact | |
Grant access to IMS tables | |
Grant ALL types of access for Test LPARS where new | |
tools/versions/products are constantly being tested or developed 7 Support all SOX related data gathering for Quarterly Access review. | |
Support all EH security production jobs. These jobs feed application 8 functionality and SOX ad hoc data collection. They are written in a variety of languages (REXX, SAS and CARLA) | |
Primary point of contact for Internal Audit security related information and security data analysis. | |
Primary technical contact for Deloitte and E&Y access related questions(this is usually arranged in conjunction with Internal Auditing). | |
Primary RACF SME supporting the zOS and application teams in any related Mainframe security work, including new product installations, 1 zOS level upgrades, Certificate management and passtickets. (Example: Recently engineered the limit for the use of one mainframe product that averted CSX paying a large licensing bill) |
