Job Details

Role Name: DevOps Support Engineer
Location: Matthews, NC (Onsite)

Duration: 6-12 months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Troubleshooting and resolving application issues reported by users or monitoring systems.
Performing root cause analysis of production incidents and implementing preventative measures.
Providing Level 2 technical support for applications.
Maintaining application documentation and knowledge base articles.
Collaborating with other IT teams and business stakeholders to understand application requirements and resolve issues.
Automating repetitive tasks and manual processes related to application deployment and maintenance.
Working with CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient application deployments.
Monitoring application performance and availability and identifying areas for improvement. (AppDynamics, Splunk observability)
Participating in the onboarding of new applications and services.
Collaborating with development teams to resolve application defects and improve application quality.
Working with operations teams to ensure seamless application deployments and maintenance.
Communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Participating in problem-solving discussions and contributing to team knowledge sharing.

Skills:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with application monitoring tools and log analysis.
Proficiency in bash scripting languages
Basic knowledge in java and gradle build
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.(Jenkins & github actions)
Middle ware application (tomcat/embedded tomcat)
OpenShift deployments/troubleshooting
OpenSSL and Venafi certificate management.
AVI load balancer configuration/implementation
Familiarity with cloud platforms (azure)
Redhat linux /basic knowledge on unix.
Basic knowledge in payments domain
Service now change management process
Knowledge in Sonarqube scanning
Knowledge in Blackduck and checkmarx scanning tools.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Understanding of ITIL framework and incident management processes.
