Chief Systems Engineer/Architect

PotomacWave is looking for a Chief Systems Engineer/Architect to join our team supporting a Federal client in Frederick, MD. This position leads a small team and is currently working a hybrid schedule with three (3) days on-site per week. The ideal candidate will bring technical skills, analytical skills, an ability to maintain quality service standards, and great communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of Capability Implementation Plans, which are based upon the guidance provided in DoD Instruction 5000.75.
• Develop, refine, and execute the full life cycle support as necessary to ensure the project s success, to include, but not limited to the operations, oversight, support, and sustainment provided at the PMO level, including systems engineering and cyber activities.
• Manage and coordinate overall project support activities. Coordinate across functional boundaries to ensure all development activities are achievable in accordance with developed schedules. Coordinate with external entities to ensure all aspects of project support are achieved.
• Lead in developing, implementing and executing the overall Project Sustainment Plan, leveraging input from product and below vendor, including the hosting critical infrastructure housing all products and capabilities.
• Oversee the governance and systems engineering processes to track and control IT resources and services across the enterprise, while maintaining the consistency of functional, performance, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information and allows technical insight into all levels of the systems design throughout the system s life cycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience supporting IT or related.
• Knowledge of best practices in systems engineering.
• Significant familiarity with the systems engineering life cycle.
• Experience with cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency with strategic planning and development.
• Effective written and verbal communications, and positive interpersonal skills
• Must have a Public Trust clearance or ==== capable of obtaining a Public Trust clearance

Salary range $80,000 - $120,000
