Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with top-tier engineers and technicians across disciplines to uncover the root causes of challenges and turn them into opportunities for innovation
  • Convert requirement sets from concepts into actionable, cost-effective designs that prioritize safety, efficiency, and effortless execution
  • Pioneer game-changing tools that automate diagnostic workflows and transform complex investigations into streamlined solutions-turning hours of manual analysis into seconds of precision
  • Envision and design custom tools to simplify large-scale operations, while mastering the art of testing and refining complex software systems and strategies
  • Build prototypes and lead validation efforts alongside engineers and technicians, ensuring every solution is precise and efficient. Craft detailed drawings, specifications, and workflows with Tesla's engineering and service teams, while diving deep into technical challenges to mitigate risks and deliver excellence
  • Collaborate with Tesla's tooling partners to optimize tool selection, deploy with precision, and track performance-ensuring every tool accelerates service efficiency

Requirements
  • A relentless drive to research, innovate solutions for challenging problem, and lead projects under tight constraints. Well-rounded engineering fundamentals with a track record of applying them to solve real world problems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent experience
  • Experience at bridging concepts and execution-bringing electrical and firmware designs to life through meticulous documentation and hands-on development. Proven experience bringing design concepts to life through detailed drawings, documentation, and hands-on execution in electrical or firmware projects
  • Expertise in core tech like microcontrollers, electrical design, or similar-bonus points for real-world experience in PCB design, software development, or wire harnesses
  • Proficiency in Python and C preferred. Strong 3D CAD/eCAD experience preferred, CATIA and Altium a plus. Familiarity with regulatory compliance is a plus (OSHA, CE, CCC, ASME)
  • Demonstrated ability to keep tasks organized and well documented, with communication skills that brings teams together and ideas to life. Strong self-management skills with a focus on proactive project execution and stakeholder engagement
  • Familiar with supplier engagement and overseeing deliverables from initial specs to final delivery. Machine shop and fabrication experience a plus

      $100,160 - $177,480/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
