Note from client:

Our current CHRO is retiring around the time of our Workday go-live and we would like to sure up the department for best practice implementation and transition to support. We are looking for a Workday-experienced HR leader, e.g. manager, supervisor, or some other leader in an HR department. This is much more HR than IT, and someone who can work across Finance and other HR entities as we move to an enterprise-wide solution. For context, we have 4 business entities and 3 payroll/hr/time systems we need to consolidate with Workday and time system. This role will help us with implementation and pull the business entities together.

Overview:
client is preparing for a Workday implementation and seeking a seasoned HR Manager with strong Workday systems experience to support the transition. This role is critical as the current CHRO is retiring around the time of go-live, and the organization is consolidating HR, payroll, and time systems across four business entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR liaison for the Workday implementation
  • Partner with the incoming Chief People Officer and other HR leaders across entities
  • Support change management and best practice adoption across HR and Finance
  • Help unify systems and processes across hospital, surgery center, and medical foundation teams
  • Lead efforts in data validation, unit testing, and go-live readiness
  • Act as a strategic partner in aligning HR systems with enterprise-wide goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of Workday experience (recent and hands-on)
  • Minimum 3 years of healthcare HR experience (Healthcare experience is a must)
  • Strong understanding of HR systems including payroll and time tracking
  • Proven leadership in HR operations and systems implementation
  • Experience with change management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Must be able to work onsite in Fremont and engage with multiple business units

Notes:

  • The organization is aiming for a more integrated HR model similar to Kaiser
  • Data loading begins next week, with validation and unit testing ramping up in November
  • This role will be central to ensuring a smooth transition and long-term success of the Workday platform
