Examinetics is hiring an HR Generalist - Benefits Administration to join our expanding team! This is a full time role based in office at our Overland Park, KS location.
This position plays a key role in supporting core HR functions, with a primary focus on benefits administration and compliance. This position provides human resources support across the employee lifecycle-including onboarding, employee relations, policy implementation, HRIS management, compliance, and training coordination. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who is detail-oriented, approachable, and committed to delivering high-quality HR support to employees and leaders.

Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration (Primary):
- Administer all company benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, COBRA, and retirement plans.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits questions and resolve issues related to claims, coverage, and eligibility
- Lead annual open enrollment process, including communication, education sessions, and system management
- Manage benefit plan enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and with external vendors
- Audit benefit data and invoices for accuracy and process payments on time
- Ensure legal compliance with benefit-related regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, etc.)
- Maintain documentation and complete required reporting (ACA, 5500s, etc.)
HR Generalist Support (Secondary):
- Support full-cycle onboarding including pre-employment paperwork, orientation, and benefits enrollment
- Accurately complete I-9s and E-Verify
- Administer and maintain the HRIS system with accuracy, including personnel data, job changes, compensation updates, and terminations
- Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and practices consistently
- Assist with policy development and updates in alignment with legal and regulatory changes
- Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with compliance requirements
- Monitor leave of absence requests (FMLA, personal, medical) and partner with employees and managers on return-to-work planning
- Support HR initiatives related to engagement and recognition programs
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing of benefits deductions and other employee changes
Job Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent completed
- Bachelor's degree in a Business related major preferred or comparable work experience
- 5+ years of HR experience work experience, with strong working knowledge of benefits administration
- Solid understanding of HR laws and compliance (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience with HRIS systems
- HR certification (SHRM-SCP or CP) strongly preferred
- Experience working in a multi-state environment
- Prior experience supporting performance management and employee benefit initiatives
Skills and/or Abilities:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Familiarity with employee engagement strategies
