Role Overview
The AI Integration Engineer will be responsible for implementing the technical components of the Frontier Lead Generation MVP using the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) and ChatGPT. The engineer will integrate Frontier s product catalogue into a Photon-hosted ACP feed, configure ChatGPT interactions, implement lead-generation actions, and ensure secure, reliable data flow between systems.
This role bridges AI systems, backend integration, and API orchestration, ensuring that ChatGPT can present accurate Frontier product information and drive users into Frontier s cart or lead flows.

Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain the ACP Product Feed, transforming Frontier s product catalogue into ACP-compliant schema.
Build and operate the catalogue sync pipeline, including ingestion of JSON/CSV/API data and feed regeneration.
Configure ChatGPT agent actions, integrating the ACP feed to enable product discovery and recommendation flows.
Implement lead handoff mechanisms including tracked redirect links, event identifiers, and call-to-action workflows.
Ensure all integrations follow security and compliance best practices, including secrets management, secure endpoints, and read-only access controls.
Collaborate closely with Conversation Designers and Product Managers to embed rules, constraints, and intent behaviors into ChatGPT system prompts.
Test, monitor, and optimize integration performance throughout the MVP lifecycle.
Provide technical support during UAT, troubleshooting data issues, response anomalies, or integration gaps.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with AI API integration, particularly OpenAI or similar LLM platforms.
Proficiency in building secure API-based integrations, including REST/JSON, serverless compute, and cloud-based services (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
Experience working with structured data transformation pipelines (ETL/ELT), JSON schema validation, and automated sync jobs.
Familiarity with Node.js, Python, or similar languages used for backend integration work.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure components: API Gateway, Functions/Lambda, managed databases, secret managers.
Ability to work in fast-paced MVP environments with cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering).
Bonus: Experience with conversational AI platforms, prompt engineering, or chatbot frameworks.
