Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Business Analyst for a Full Time assignment with one of our premier SkinCare clients in Hawthorne, NY.

The Business Analyst will work alongside key business stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information in key strategic projects including brand expansions, partnerships, specialty retail and other projects. The Business Analyst will work with the Head of Business on key presentations, projects and analyses to ensure clear communications on strategic initiatives. This position will use extensive business and financial acumen, understanding of the organizational vision and strategy, as well as a familiarity with the competitive market and M&A activities. The Business Analyst will also support the strategic planning process and provide implementation guidance in alignment to organization goals to convert company long term plan, portfolio optimization, mission, and vision into specific plans and projects.

Responsibilities :
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of Regional and Corporate functional areas such as Leadership, Finance, R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, Regulatory and Legal, to facilitate the valuation process on various business development projects including in-license, out-license, product acquisitions, and company acquisitions.
  • Analyze information with a financial and entrepreneurial view identifying relevant, actionable analyses to add product expansion opportunities, technological capabilities, portfolio optimization, and/or platforms to enable the company to grow.
  • Undertake research and track market trends and developments in dermatology for both the US and internationally for competitive intelligence purposes.
  • Guide the scope and implementation of special projects and strategic initiatives, including the development and project management of special projects, as determined by the President.
  • Provide support to the Head of Business for the convening of a range of meetings on short- or long-term projects of strategic importance. This may include preparing presentations, developing meeting agendas, drafting briefing papers, and ensuring appropriate and effective communications with participants.
  • Compiles, analyzes, translates, and presents data to management.
  • Constructs forecast models based on business data and market knowledge and is able to present recommendations.
  • Collaborates with Marketing, Finance and Management to build financial views including P&Ls and is able to present recommendations.
  • Understands and incorporates the impact of key finance and accounting variables on the NPV, IRR and NTE of a project.
  • Recommends appropriate and creative deal terms to support negotiations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other similar discipline, required.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in finance, investment banking, or another similar analytical field, required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to draw conclusions from information, determine root cause of problems, and recommend solutions.
  • Strong Excel and data management skills including experience using the latest specialized software products pertaining to Marketing Analysis, data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems including nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,)
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to top management or public groups.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct.
  • Results focused, with a sense of curiosity, an open mind and a desire to make a difference and have fun.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast paced, demanding environment.
  • Self-starter, naturally inquisitive, ability to think independently.
  • Proficient with MS Office, including, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
Preferred Skills :
  • Experience in market interpretation and finance forecasting, preferred.
