About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and XLR to lead automation and infrastructure delivery efforts across mission-critical systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on infrastructure as code, has a systems engineering background, and is passionate about building scalable, secure, and automated environments.
As a senior member of the DevOps team, you ll not only execute but also guide and mentor teams in best practices for provisioning, configuration management, and release automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision scalable environments across multiple platforms.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible Playbooks for system configuration and XLR pipelines for application delivery.
Lead automation of provisioning, configuration, deployment, and monitoring workflows across Windows Server and RHEL platforms.
Administer and support critical services including IIS, Tomcat, and WebSphere, with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with architecture and security teams to ensure smooth integration with firewalls, load balancers, and enterprise storage systems.
Create advanced scripts in PowerShell (with bonus points for Bash or Python) to automate operational tasks and reduce manual interventions.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and enforce DevOps best practices in code quality, configuration, and release management.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues and implement long-term solutions.
Must-Have Skills:
Terraform (core skill) advanced hands-on experience with complex modules and state management.
Strong experience with Ansible including writing and debugging playbooks for large-scale systems.
Proficiency in managing XLR pipelines for deployment and release orchestration.
Deep understanding of CI/CD tools, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management strategies.
Strong systems administration background in both Windows Server and RHEL, including hands-on with IIS.
Familiar with middleware and runtime environments: Tomcat, WebSphere, and related enterprise platforms.
Scripting expertise in PowerShell; working knowledge of Bash or Python is a plus.
Experience working with network components like firewalls, load balancers, and SAN/NAS storage.
