L3Harris is actively seeking an Project Engineer (PE) Test Director to support the integration and test of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on an airborne platforms. In this role, the candidate will ensure that the customer needs are verified and validated. They will lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop the test program and lead the test execution activites. The candidate will possess a strong system integration and troubleshooting background and leadership skills to effectively lead the Test IPT.

Essential Functions:

Lead verification and validation activities for avionics and mission systems on military and commercial airborne platforms.

Lead the development of Test Documentation (Plan, Procedures, and Reports) required to support the verification and validation activities, ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.

Work with the Systems Engineering team to ensure that all requirements allocated to Test or Demonstration verification methods are traced to specific steps within the test documentation.

Support the definition of requirement traceability methods.

Author Test related CDRLS to be delivered to the customer in the technical data package.

Prepare and deliver effective presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical professionals.

Ability to travel OCONUS up to 10%

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • An active DoD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret (SCI) Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Demonstrated experience in program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Demonstrated experience understanding of engineering processes and policies
  • Demonstrated experience in Aircraft Integration, Test and Delivery
  • Ability to travel as needed based on business demands

Preferred Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience operating within a Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM); TeamCenter preferred
  • Demonstrated experience conducting first article verification testing
  • Demonstrated experience working within a MBSE tool (CSM preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating with internal and external Customer stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience with FAA (STC) and Military (MTC) certification activities
