Mechanical Engineer III

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Mechanical Engineer III in Redmond, WA.

Summary:
We're looking for an outstanding mechanical engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis and documentation specifically for fixturing and tooling systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs. The Engineer provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs. They will also be reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:
* BSc in Mechanical Engineering
* 5+ years of experience with CAD
* 5+ years of experience with design and development of hardware at scale (High End Optics and Precision Mechanisms desired)
* 5+ years of experience with development, test, deployment of military/aerospace systems
* Experience with CAD
* Proficiency with NX, TeamCenter
* Experience in DFA, DFM and manufacturing process development, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
* Experience with specifying/justifying margins and test sequences, and qualifying military/aerospace systems
* Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis
* Experience with production fixturing and tooling
* Strong communication and writing skills
* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred:
* Ability to lead interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware, Reliability, and Firmware teams to define and drive scope and clarity of work, and reach optimum system level trade-offs
* Strong time and task management skills with consistent attention to detail
* Familiar with use of engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
