Overview:

iSphere is seeking an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Engineer for an onsite, long-term position in New York City. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level AV systems in a fast-paced corporate environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in hands-on AV environments supporting conference rooms, event spaces, and video conferencing technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, and maintain audio-visual and video conferencing systems across corporate office spaces.

  • Provide daily onsite support for meetings, events, and executive communications.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to deploy and support new AV technologies and infrastructure.

  • Recommend and implement AV design improvements for conference rooms and collaboration spaces.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical AV issues across platforms like MS Teams, Zoom, Cisco WebEx, and Poly.

  • Oversee vendor relationships, installations, and site-wide AV rollouts.

  • Develop technical documentation, system diagrams, and user training guides.

  • Manage AV upgrades, perform system testing, and ensure ongoing maintenance.

  • Set up, configure, and fine-tune AV and conference room equipment according to user needs.

  • Monitor and optimize AV system performance across all NYC-based facilities.


Event & Meeting Support:

  • Serve as lead technician or AV event producer for executive meetings and large-scale events.

  • Provide in-room technical support to ensure seamless audio, video, and streaming performance.

  • Coordinate logistics for webinars, all-hands meetings, and live/hybrid presentations.

  • Confirm AV requirements with stakeholders and handle real-time escalations professionally.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree or certification in AV systems, electronics, or a related technical field.

  • 10+ years of experience in professional AV support, installation, and maintenance.

  • Advanced expertise in AV platforms and hardware: Crestron, AMX, Extron, Poly, Cisco, MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx.

  • Strong experience with AV control systems, touch panels, switching/routing, and integration.

  • Proficient in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to respond under pressure.

  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Willingness to work onsite full-time, with flexibility for early morning, evening, or weekend events as needed.


Preferred Experience:

  • AV support for corporate or executive environments, especially in financial or legal sectors.

  • Background in live event production and staging.

  • Experience managing AV systems across multiple floors or building sites.
