Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Software Solutions Architect – Rhapsody Developer & Administrator to design, develop, and support enterprise healthcare integration solutions. This role focuses on implementing and supporting an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) to enable secure, reliable message transmission and integration between healthcare systems and a centralized data hub.

The architect will work closely with cross-functional technical and business teams to enhance, integrate, and maintain healthcare interfaces, improve automated processes, ensure data integrity, and maintain compliance with healthcare interoperability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop integration solutions for new healthcare use cases

Create technical designs and system architectures based on business requirements

Develop and support interfaces connecting multiple healthcare systems through an ESB

Build custom filters and components using the Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK)

Develop message mappings using EDI message designer

Write and maintain JavaScript (v1 and v2) filters within Rhapsody

Develop and consume APIs using SOAP, REST, and web services

Perform data transformations across formats including HL7 v2, HL7 v3, FHIR, CDA/CCDA, XML, JSON, and flat files

Develop CDA mappings and conversions

Prepare and maintain SDLC and code review documentation

Configure and maintain database connections (MS SQL Server, Oracle)

Implement and support TCP, HTTP, LLP, OAuth, and secure transport connections

Own overall system design, code quality, and configuration standards

Provide technical oversight and guidance to integration teams and analysts

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with JavaScript programming

Solid knowledge of SQL and database integration

Expertise with XML and structured data formats

Hands-on experience with HL7 v2.x messaging

Experience with HL7 FHIR

Knowledge of CDA standards and related document types

Familiarity with healthcare vocabularies: LOINC, SNOMED, RxNorm

Experience with Health Information Exchange (HIE) technologies

Knowledge of Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) standards

Experience implementing solutions based on healthcare Implementation Guides
