The Hand Solder role is unique for individuals who like to use precision hand tools and soldering components like surface mount and thru-hole.

Build through-hole (THT) and surface mount (SMT)printed circuit board assemblies, placing components on boards per controlledparts lists, drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.
- Assemble electrical or electromechanical devices or components using a variety of hardware/tools.
- Pull up documentation required to preform work on customer assemblies
- Basic hand soldering of surface mount, through-hole components and simple wiring
- Perform basic touch ups
- Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements
- Familiar with soldering iron tips and chemicals
- Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and class
- Responsible for the proper handling of product and components
- Perform work with minimal supervision and instruction
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Maintain necessary records
- Perform other assignments as required

- J-STD-001 certified
- Basic soldering skills
- Intermediate level computer skills
- Ability to read and understand engineering assembly drawings
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions
- Ability to build electrical and electromechanical assemblies
- Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity
- Ability to use tools
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
