Network System Engineer

Job Description Our client, a building materials and manufacturing company, is looking for a Network System Engineer to join their IT team. The client company specializes in manufacturing products like drywall, gypsum, roofing materials, etc.

Their IT infrastructure consists of a mix of on-prem Windows servers and virtual machines. They are currently in the middle of a massive migration project where they're migrating all their VMware servers to Hyper-V, so having experience with these kinds of migrations is a huge plus. The ideal candidate is technically skilled working in a hybrid Windows server environment with Hyper-V, VMware, and O365 on the system side. You will also be responsible for their network, so they need someone skilled with Fortinet and Cisco gears.

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Dallas, Texas. Compensation is a $100-115k salary with a 10% annual bonus. Required Skills & Experience

• Experience working in a hybrid Windows based server environment.
• Experience working with Cisco and Fortinet network gears.
• Experience designing LAN/WAN solutions for a large company.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 6-8 years of experience working in IT Infrastructure as a network and/or system engineer.
• Experience handling virtual machine migrations a huge plus (bonus points if it's VMware to Hyper-V).
• Related certifications a huge plus (CCNA, CCNP, NSE, etc).
