Job Title: Project Manager with Architect Experience

Location: Remote (Candidates around San Francisco, CA preferred)
Duration: Long-term Contract / Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Architecture and Solution Design to lead complex technical initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with proven project management skills to ensure successful planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-level projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery from requirement gathering to implementation ensuring timelines, quality, and budget goals are met.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and stakeholders to define technical solutions and project scope.

  • Provide architectural guidance and contribute to solution design decisions.

  • Manage project risks, dependencies, and changes proactively.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including plans, schedules, and progress reports.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams across different time zones to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Communicate project status and updates to senior management and business stakeholders.

  • Drive process improvements and promote best practices in project governance and technical delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of total experience, with at least 5 years in project management and 3+ years in a technical/architectural role.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, system design, and integration.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional and distributed teams.

  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving ability with a balance of technical and business insight.

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification is a plus.

  • Cloud architecture knowledge (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) preferred.

Preferred:

  • Based in or near San Francisco, CA for occasional client or team meetings.

  • Prior experience working in remote or hybrid teams.
