Job Description
- Ensure that delivery frameworks and best practices are understood and enacted by the team.
- Ensure Agile Principles, delivery values, and practices are followed; conduct training if required.
- Responsible for process improvements and conducting ceremonial meetings.
- Coach team members to adhere to delivery principles and best practices.
- Help the team understand how to work effectively within the organization.
- Protect the team from external interfaces and interruptions.
- Ensure the team is fully functional and productive.
- Assist product owners with product backlogs and ensure the team maintains a healthy backlog.
- Be a servant leader and change agent.
- Conduct/participate in leadership meetings, PI Planning, Product Management Council meetings, review meetings, and other meetings for the leadership team.
- Maintain expertise in current and emerging delivery, SCRUM, and Agile trends, tools, and techniques.
- Act as a Delivery Lead for one or more Agile teams.
- Establish team-level cadence and drive team-level events in alignment with program-level cadences.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to the team to encourage the adoption of good agile practices.
- Provide agile practice leadership and education to the organization, enabling scrum teams and product owners to ensure successful delivery of continuous business value.
- Influence leadership and management teams within delivery practices, including business and other supporting functional areas, on agile principles, practices, and tools.
- Encourage and facilitate cross-team coordination and collaboration.
- Facilitate management of the Scrum Team's dependencies between the program team and third parties.
- Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on team-level progress and quality.
- Drive release management for the agile teams.
- Provide Project Management support for Business Partner projects as needed.
- Lead projects by collaborating with enterprise and/or external teams, coordinating execution and delivery, and reporting on accomplishments and progress.
- Drive adoption of the new delivery model and agile practices across the enterprise.
- Demonstrate thought leadership by engaging with the enterprise through speaking, learning forums, blogging, etc.
- Work with less structured, more complex issues and serve as a resource to others.
- Be a change agent and foster a "learn by doing" environment.
- Help teams develop and implement practices and metrics that track effective and efficient delivery for continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.
- Analyze and investigate, providing explanations and interpretations within the area of expertise.
