Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a seasoned Business Intel Architect with business intelligence applications experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

Administrative Tasks - Disaster Recovery exercises, Documentation, System Maintenance, Manage Scheduled Jobs

Maintain and support platform, Incident Management and Service Requests

Testing and Quality Assurance

Managing CI/CD pipelines, deploying builds, and monitoring deployments.

Setting up and maintaining development, testing, and staging environments.

Managing source control systems (e.g., Git) and resolving merge conflicts.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

At least 10 years experience within a total information technology (IT) environment.

At least 9 years experience with BI applications; decision support systems, query and reporting, online analytical processing, statistical analysis, forecasting, and data mining.

At least 3 years experience with business intelligence design and architecture.

Experience Should Include

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions, including data ingestion, processing, and visualization, leveraging Azure SQL Managed Instance, SSIS, ADF, Azure Storage, and Azure VM for scalable and efficient ETL workflows.

BI experience in Treasury Management

Create interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, perform advanced data analysis, and write complex SQL queries to transform raw data into actionable insights for business decision-making.

Advanced SQL Server knowledge (T-SQL, DAX, performance tuning, security, SSIS/SSRS). Postgres is a plus.

Data modeling (relational, dimensional, multi-dimensional, semantic layers)

Experience developing and implementing models for clustering, recommendations, and forecasting

Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, Power BI)

ETL design and implementation experience (data pipelines, load processes, error handling)

Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, SSAS, semantic modeling)

Experience with Metadata management and governance

Scripting/programming (Python, PowerShell, or similar for automation)

Spark or Databricks experience (Java, Scala preferred)

Understanding of enterprise architecture and integration patterns

Familiarity with cloud security, networking, and resource management in Azure

Strong communication, Collaboration, Problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Stakeholder management and influencing skills

Preferred Skills/Experience

BI experience in Treasury Management

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
