Job Title: Staff Architect
Location: Onsite in Anaheim, CA
Job Summary
Seeking a Staff Architect to serve as an Architectural Owner's Representative for complex facility projects across a large, multi-use resort property. The role focuses on design oversight, coordination with internal stakeholders and external A&E firms, and ensuring code compliance and project quality from concept through construction.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Licensed Architect in California
- 13+ years of professional architectural experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of California Building Code, ADA, CalOSHA, and life safety standards
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and external consultants
- Experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, and performing site observation during construction
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently while keeping stakeholders aligned
Preferred Qualifications
- Master planning experience
- CASp certification
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited institution
Responsibilities
- Act as design lead and owner's rep across varied facility projects including attractions, hospitality, retail, office, and back-of-house environments
- Manage external consultants; lead design development, reviews, and coordination across disciplines
- Create project scopes and RFPs; participate in vendor selection
- Review drawings/specs at all milestones to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and internal guidelines
- Drive project schedules, budgets, and QA/QC processes
- Coordinate with city officials on permitting and plan checks
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, punch walks, and closeout documentation
- Collaborate with internal engineering, facilities, and construction partners to ensure integrated, maintainable design solutions.
